What is Raspberry Pi?
The Raspberry Pi is a low cost single-board computers which has a 32-bit ARM processor developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. It is a credit-card sized mini linux computer, which is capable doing many things. You can connect a TV monitor and a keyboard, mouse. This can do many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing, browsing the internet and games.
For Raspberry Pi 1 operating system is Raspbian and is based of Debian which is a distribution of Linux. Windows 10 IoT Core and additional distributions of Linux such as Ubuntu supports Raspberry Pi 2.
Raspberry Pi has a 700/900MHz ARM processor, an graphics setup, minimum 128MB of memory, memory card slot, audio/video outputs to connect to TV, and a USB port for your keyboard, mouse or any other. This board is designed for educational purpose and mainly used in electronics projects.
